At The Arbutus we understand that “things” happen and that occasionally the best made plans need to be altered or cancelled completely. So what happens if you find yourself in this position? If you have made your reservation directly with us, it may be cancelled or amended up to the morning of the day of arrival without incurring any charges and all prepaid reservations may be refunded completely or put towards an alternative date if chosen.
If you do not cancel your booking before this time and do not use it, it will result in the equivalent to the cost of the first nights accommodation being charged to the credit card offered at time of reservation.

We will immediately reimburse you in full and endeavour to find you an alternative hotel more appropriate to your specific tastes and needs. Why do we do this? The Buckley family have been welcoming guests to The Arbutus and Killarney for over 85 years and during that time they have enjoyed an excellent track record. But we know that we are not everyone’s cup of tea and if there is a “No, not for us” let us find it out sooner rather than later. It very rarely happens but sometimes it does and we do not believe in locking people in with terms and conditions that are all weighted in the establishment’s favor. We fully appreciate how difficult it can be for you to differentiate one hotel over another and in particular to take a gamble on the little one. But with this guarantee we want you to know that you are taking NO RISK when choosing to book with us.
If the room you are allocated or the service you receive does not reach your expectations, please inform us and allow us the opportunity to rectify the situation.
