In
2004 Killarney celebrated the 250th birthday of Irish
tourism and the 250th Anniversary of the town itself.
It is said that there are only 2 Kingdoms, The
Kingdom of God & The Kingdom of Kerry. The latter
remains at the forefront of Irish Tourism, lead by a
combination of breathtaking scenery, the warmth of the
people and the vision of individuals as diverse as the
4th Viscount of Kenmare and our own Tim Buckley.
Killarney's dramatic mountains, majestic lakes
and historic oak woodland are filled with legend and
lore that make them as interesting to talk about over
drink in the evening, as they were to climb during the
day. The most notable attractions include the Gap of
Dunloe, Killarney National Park, Killarney Lakes, Muckross
House & Gardens, Ring of Kerry & The Kerry way.
