A must for all should be a visit to Muckross House and explore the magnificent gardens and woodlands. Muckross House and Gardens form the central point of Killarney National Park, one of the oldest in Ireland, with woodlands, mountains and the Lakes. The area around Killarney has a great selection of walking and cycling routes, such as around the Gap of Dunloe and the McGillycuddy Reeks. Places worth exploring in the area also include, Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall and Muckross Abbey.
